[SOLVED] Compatibility with FAQ Slider Plugin and SEF (sh40 5 Months, 3 Weeks ago
When sh404sef is turned on, an internal server error is caused whenever a page containing the FAQ Slider Plugin is viewed (after new content is created). Clearing the SEF URL cache temporarily fixes the problem until another FAQ is added to the page. Is there a fix for this or is there a fix for this coming?

Hi

I stopped using sh404SEF a while ago because I found it made Joomla sites very slow. I might look at making things work with it but it's not on a priority list unless others want it too.

Can you tell me if this happens when you set FAQSlider to load the article text rather than process all the content plugins etc? I'm sure that will solve your problem. The only donwsides are that you won't see plugin content in the articles and you won't be able to edit in situ...

Shumisha (sh404sef developper) investigated the problem and have some ideas/suggestions to try solve it. Can you participate at the post on the sh404sef to work together at the compatibility on your 2 great extension ?

Hi

I've had a look at the thread over on sh404SEF forum when you first posted here and it is interesting to see what Shumisha had come up with. I've not had time to look at it really and I don't have a copy of sh404SEF anyway, hence my lack of reply.

I've been having a few issues myself during development which I will discuss over on the Anything Digital forum but suffice to say there may well be a problem with FAQ Slider or sh404SEF but I'm a bit worried that it may in fact be a PHP issue. I've been able to reliably recreate the issues discussed here.

Can you try the new FAQ Slider version and let me know if there is any improvement? Are you getting any core.xxx files generated on your server showing that PHP is exiting and producing a core dump?

Hi,

I have the same problem, the FAQ Slider and sh404SEF are incompatible and if I disable the sh404SEF the FAQ Slider works perfect, but all the time have the same error message "Internal Server Error".

And I have a lot core.xxx files generated in my hosting account.

Regards,
Peter
