Error when searching (?) cpanel error ak 5 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Hi,

I've just notice an error when using joomla search. The first query works fine, the second search performed immediately after fails.

In the process of troubleshooting this error, I ran across this addkeywords error in cpanel. Note:- I have no idea if this is related to my search problem, but it looks like ak has an issue that needs to be reported anyway.

16-Feb-2010 21:38:14] PHP Warning: substr_count() [<a href='function.substr-count'>function.substr-count</a>]: Empty substring in ......./plugins/system/addkeywords.php on line 884

I am using Add Keywords 0.7.2beta

Thank you,
Corina

Hi Corina

The AK substr_count error is related to the processing of the plugins in an article and then parsing the text output. I've fixed this in the next release. Have you found the beta to work well for you?

I don't understand what your search problem is....

The beta works perfectly- That cpanel error didn't seem to impact anything I noticed on the front end.

I'm still looking into the search issue- It might be sh404sef related.

Hi corina

I've been thinking about your search error. I had one intermittently on different servers. It's related to a dodgy hack in the Joomla! core which I have edited out. It basically adds an extra "/" to the url which gets translated to html code and sometimes kills com_search. Does that sound like it could be the problem?
